jogscotland - Scotland's national recreational running network, here you will find all  you need to know about getting prepared for your event, there is a list of the groups around the country and information on all running events taking place in Scotland.

This is the website of the largest UK running magazine. The website has information on thousands of runs around the country as well as sections on diet, training, equipment, injury prevention, etc. Its forums are a wealth of information from other runners around the UK. Most of the content is free to registered site users, some is only for those with a current subscription to the magazine.

This is one of the most popular running websites as well as the usual advice sections offers some great social network facilities for members of the site. Upload photos and videos; write a blog; chat in the forums - these are just some of the  things you can do at Realbuzz.com. Membership of the site is free.

This is the website of Paths to Health, the national programme promoting walking for health. On the site you can find details of your local walks, so if you are looking for like-minded people to walk with to get yourself fit and ready for your chosen fundraising challenge then this is a great place to start.

Walkingworld is a fantastic online resource for all  walkers. On the site you can find over 4000 routes, contributed by more than 300 walkers from all round the country. So if you are getting youself fit for your fundraising challenge this is a great site to help you. If you fancy creating your very own challenge then this is a great place to plan your route - whether it be a short walk or one the length and breadth of the country! Access to basic information on walks is free. A paid subscription gives access to the full resources on the site.

Cycling Scotland works to bring cycling out from the fringes of everyday life and into the mainstream. They aim to integrate cycling into modern living as a sustainable mode of transport, a means of exercise, and a strong contributor to the Scottish tourist economy.

Their website includes information on public cycling events; training events to ensure people can cycle with confidence; and engineering services to ensure that cyclists are catered for on Scotland's roads and paths.

This is the official cycling website from Visit Scotland, the country's national tourism organisation. On the site there are sections on routes, travel, accomodation, weather ... and lots more! So if you are taking part in an organised bike ride or planning your own this is a great resource to help you.

Scottish Cycling Holidays specialise in cycling holidays on quiet roads and byways allow ample time to explore this land of hills, glens, lochs, seashores, folklore and history. Tours can be self-led, group or tailor made. If you are looking to organise your own cycle challenge to raise funds then this could be a good place to start.
